Port Fairy was established early in the settlement of Victoria as a whaling and sealing base and developed into a busy coastal port exporting rural commodities to Melbourne, Tasmania and directly to the U.K. The lighthouse was constructed in 1859 on Griffiths Island from local bluestone rock.

All photographic prints offered are printed individually on highest quality photographic paper. Paper stock is a Satin 260gsm proofing paper. The ink used is Epson UltraChrome HDR which utilizes 10 colours and sets a high standard in print quality for photographic reproduction.
