About Us
Traveller's Notes Australia offers a range of Australian tourism, gift, souvenir and travel related products including books, travel guides, prints, post cards, bookmarks and magnets. Our website features these products with high quality professional photography of the Great Ocean Road (including the Twelve Apostles rock formations of Port Campbell National Park) and the Grampians regions of Victoria, Australia. It also features the region of Central Australia including Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Alice Springs, Standley Chasm, the Macdonnell Ranges, Ormiston Gorge, Trephina Gorge, Mount Sonder, Simpsons Gap, Chambers Pillar, Rainbow Valley, Palm Valley and the Devils Marbles. High, archival quality, professional photographic prints of these and other unique, iconic Australian images are exclusive to our website.
Our company commenced business in 1988 and has achieved significant and widespread acclaim for its products for nearly 30 years. Photography is by our founding and managing director, Neil J. Leed, who has made a specialty of landscape and scenic photography and still uses high quality professional film as his choice of photographic medium. Neil J. Leed's photography is a natural reproduction of colours reflecting the depth and quality of his choice of film and his subject matter. His photography is not in any way digitally enhanced and can be seen to be free of the often garish and unnatural appearance produced by digital enhancement.
Neil J. Leed's work reflects a keen interest in Australian history and he has been eminently successful in combining historical and contemporary photography and artwork in his tourist publications to bring a far richer and more in-depth experience to his audiences. His Great Ocean Road book, Great Ocean Road: Scenic & Historic Views, and his Great Ocean Road travel guide, Great Ocean Road: Traveller's Guide & Souvenir, both combine a great deal of fascinating historical and contemporary research, artwork and photography. Both publications display a sequential presentation of coastal towns of the Great Ocean Road including Queenscliff, Lorne. Apollo Bay, Lavers Hill, Port Campbell, Warrnambool, Port Fairy and Portland. They also focus on the natural attractions of the region with significant emphasis on Cape Otway, the Otway Ranges and Port Campbell National Park.
Our products also make excellent personal and corporate gifts. (Photograph opposite: Rainbow Valley, Central Australia)
